Dr. Carol Flewellen Merritt
Dr. Carol Flewellen Merritt is a 1982 graduate of Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, and holds an A.B. degree in Biology. She continued her optometric education at the University of Missouri, St. Louis School of Optometry and graduated on the Dean's List in 1989.
She has been in private practice in North St. Louis County for over 27 years, and is active in the community. She is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Missouri Optometric Association and the National Optometric Association. A former faculty member of the University of Missouri School of Optometry, Dr. Merritt specializes in family eye care and systemic diseases which affect the eye, such as hypertension and diabetes. Dr. Merritt also is the Co-Pastor and Minister of Music and Worship of the New Cote Brilliante Church of God in St. Louis, alongside her husband of 41 years, Elder Miki Merritt. They are the proud parents of four adult sons and four grandchildren. Dr. Merritt always states the vision for her life: “My purpose in life is to help people to see both physically and spiritually.” |
